Before you choose
Gallery System droppers and hooks work as a pair. Compare the compatible combinations, then choose the adjustment method and working capacity that suit your display.
Each dropper works with specific hooks. Clear Line needs a Gallery System Mini Hook or a Clearline Push Button Hook. Standard Adjustable Hooks are for Clear Tape and Stainless Steel. One combination can be used throughout the display, or different compatible combinations can be used where needed.
View Gallery System Mini HooksAllen/hex-key hooks are economical. Push-button hooks are tool-free, far simpler to adjust and particularly useful for displays that change regularly.
Use the lower rating of the hook-and-dropper pair and allow for the complete weight of the framed piece.
For public spaces, a Security Hook locks to the artwork to help deter opportunistic removal while retaining push-button height adjustment. Use it with Stainless Steel droppers.

The lower-rated component determines the capacity of each dropper-and-hook combination. When double hanging from two combinations and the load is shared evenly, the artwork can weigh up to twice the applicable figure. The track, fixings and wall substrate must also support the load. Gallery System Standard Adjustable Hooks do not grip Clear Line. Choose the Mini Hook for Allen/hex-key adjustment or the dedicated Clearline Push Button Hook for tool-free adjustment.

Pass the compatible Clearline or Stainless Steel dropper through the hook’s adjustment tube. To raise the hook, slide it upward. To lower it, press the adjustment tube towards the centre of the hook to release the internal clutch, slide the hook down, then release the tube to lock it back into position. The hook can be adjusted quickly with one hand while the other hand supports the artwork, making it useful for displays that change regularly.
Gallery System Standard Adjustable and Mini Hooks use an included Allen or hex key. Remove the artwork, loosen the hook, move it to the required position and tighten it securely. Rehang the artwork to check the height and repeat the process as needed until the position is right.
The hooks suit different droppers. The Gallery System Standard Adjustable Hook works with Stainless Steel and Clear Tape droppers but does not grip Clearline. The Mini Hook was introduced as the Allen-key-adjustable option for Clearline. It also works with Stainless Steel but is not compatible with Clear Tape. For tool-free adjustment on Clearline, use the dedicated Clearline Push Button Hook.
Gallery System hooks use compact adjustment mechanisms intended to keep the hanging point close to the dropper line, helping artwork sit neatly against the wall. The final hanging angle also depends on the frame hardware, the position of the dropper and whether hanging-correction accessories are required.
Most framed artwork has picture wire or cord running between fittings on the two vertical sides of the frame and a Gallery System hook can engage directly with that wire or cord. When an artwork is supported by two droppers and two hooks, the hooks will often attach directly to the D-rings or strap hangers on either side of the frame.
No. Gallery System hooks do not connect directly to keyhole hangers. Clocks and other items without standard picture wire, cord, D-rings or strap hangers may require different frame hardware or another mounting solution. The Gallery System Security Hook is a push-button hook for Stainless Steel droppers with a gate that closes across the front of the hook. The closed gate prevents artwork from simply lifting straight off, helping deter opportunistic snatch-and-run theft. It is not a high-security lock: someone with enough time and access can open the gate and remove the artwork. It is a sensible addition in public or shared spaces where resistance to quick removal is important.

Hooks for ‘The Gallery System’ are available in Standard Adjustable, Push Button and Security Push Button. They are all sold in packs of 10.
The Standard Adjustable hooks can be used on both the Clear Tape and Stainless Steel Droppers. They are adjustable with the use of an included allen key.
The push button hooks are compatible only with the Stainless Steel Droppers. They can be adjusted with one hand as no tool is required, which ensures ease of use and timely adjustment. They are the most popular hook for this system.
The Clearline Push Button hooks are designed exclusively for use with the Clear Line Droppers. Finished in matte black to distinguish them from the silver Push Button hooks, they provide the same convenient, one-handed, tool-free adjustment.
The Push Button hooks for the Stainless Steel and Clear Line Droppers are not interchangeable and must be matched with the appropriate dropper.
The security push button hooks provide protection from the ‘snatch and run’ art thief by locking the hook to the art. Aside from this they operate as a traditional push button hook.
